Job Summary

Company Description

We’re making Maryland stronger!
With roots that go as far back as 1895, the UM Rehab & Ortho Institute continues to be a pioneer in orthopedics and neurological disorders. From bones to brains, our cutting-edge hospital heals even the most serious of injuries, specializing in everything from total joint replacement to spinal cord injuries and neurological condition. In total, our 141-bed facility welcomes over 3,000 patients every year. As the state’s largest provider of inpatient rehabilitation services, we offer some of the most advanced therapies for stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic and sports injury, among many others.

What's In it for you?!

1.  Low Nurse- to- patient ratios (1:6)
2.  UMROI is a true rehabilitation facility where we operate in the capacity more parallel to a Med Surg unit and not a skilled nursing facility.
3.  Patients receive 3 hours of therapy a day resulting in increased physical recovery for patients. Providers, therapists, and nurses work great together for optimal outcomes.
4.  Thorough and 1:1 attention through orientation and training to ensure you are equipped and supported by the hiring leaders with a strong knowledge base.
5.  In general, it is a very gratifying place to work as you see many patients return to independence and gain their life back. All of the benefits of a large system hospital in a family oriented small hospital.
