Navigating CE Requirements for RNs in Alaska

• Log into the Alaska nurse portal: Nurses must access their account on the Alaska Nurse Portal.

• Submit CE credits: Enter details of the completed CE activities.
• Pay the renewal fee: Currently, the renewal fee for RNs is $200, but fees are always subject to change.

 Timelines and important dates

Nursing licenses in Alaska expire on November 30 of every even-numbered years regardless of when the license was first issued, with the exception of new licenses issued within 90 days of the expiration date — these will expire during the next biennium. 

Nurses are encouraged to complete their CE activities and submit their renewal applications well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues that could result in a lapse of their licenses.
